Ellie-May in Year 11 is making huge strides towards her aspirations of a career in racing. She was selected for a highly sought after work experience placement with Mercedes at the end of Year 10 and has been part of the RSA STEM Racing club, as well as Girls on Track events out of school. More recently, she met Doriane Pin, the 2026 F1 Academy Champion and has been selected to race with the Project One Racing Team. Well done Ellie-May ⭐️

DofE Bronze groups set off on Friday for an overnight stay. All groups arrived back in camp ready for a decent meal after a good day’s walk and prepared themselves for day two ⭐️

Presentation Evening for KS4 and KS5 this week provided a timely moment to celebrate the achievements of our outgoing Year 11 and Year 13 as they move on to their next steps. So many impressive accomplishments captured in one evening. James in Year 13 was also given the Ian Roper Award, which is awarded every year for all round achievement and community involvement ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Our new Year 12 students enjoyed a fantastic induction day yesterday. To help them settle in and get to know each other, the Army led a series of team-building challenges. We were really impressed by the enthusiasm and engagement shown by all students and are excited to see what they achieve over the next two years at our Sixth Form!

Summer School 2026 finished on a high today with parents joining for afternoon tea. New Year 7s have had three days of fun and creativity, getting to know each other and staff. ⭐️ ☀️

RSA26 Art, Textiles and DT Exhibition and Show: Wednesday evening saw a spectacular array of student talent on display from across Art, Textiles and Design Technology. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported ⭐️
Redwood Parent Visit and Survey: Recent feedback from parents was overwhelmingly positive, with parents consistently describing Redwood as having a transformative impact on both their children and their families. Across all responses, parents highlighted significant improvements in pupils’ happiness, confidence, emotional regulation, school attendance, engagement with learning and academic progress. Many reported that their children now feel safe, understood and able to succeed in education in a way that had not been possible previously.
Parents also reported substantial reductions in stress and anxiety across the whole family. They expressed confidence that their children are safe and supported at school, valued the consistency and predictability of provision, and described family life as more stable and manageable as a result of their child’s placement at Redwood.
A particularly strong theme was the impact of positive relationships. Parents frequently commented on staff understanding each child as an individual, providing personalised support, and building trusting relationships that enable pupils to thrive. Many families described Redwood as life-changing and stated that it had succeeded where previous educational experiences had not.
The overall message from parents is that Redwood provides far more than an education. Families described it as a safe, nurturing and specialist environment that helps children flourish socially, emotionally and academically while giving parents renewed confidence and optimism for the future ⭐️
Pond Project: Logan and Town Centre Neighborhood Forum spent the morning volunteering their labour to start clearing the pond area in the science department. The vision for an arts and nature quiet space started to come into view when looking at before and after pictures 🌳 🖼️ ⭐️
