Key Stage 3 Exploration
In Key Stage 3 History, we have adopted a thematic approach to help students understand key ideas that affect their lives today. The course is designed to challenge the opinions and views students hold and inform their views moving forward, whilst still developing the key historical skills of analysing evidence and coming to informed conclusions.

Year 7
Focus: Conflict through the Mediaeval and Early Modern World
Content: The Vikings and Britain before 1066, The Norman Conquest, The Wars of the Roses, The English Civil War, The Elizabethan Empire and the Slave Trade.
Theme: Beliefs
Content: Religion and Church, The State and Society, Local History studies in Market Harborough
Year 8
Focus: Revolutions in the Modern World
Content: The Industrial Revolution, The Great War, The Rise of the Dictator, The Second War, The Holocaust, The Revolution in Civil Rights
