Deloitte – The Deloitte BrightStart scheme for school leavers is a structured five-year programme that will give you all the exposure, experience, training and support needed to forge ahead in the world of business.

Roles are available in Audit, Tax, or Risk Consulting, where you will meet business leaders, work with industry experts, experience new cultures, build a professional network none can match – and get paid for it all. You can even earn professional qualifications.

Work Experience Placements – Nuffield Research Placements (previously Nuffield Science Bursaries) provide over 1,000 students each year across the UK with the opportunity to work alongside professional scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians. Students in the first year of a post-16 science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) course are eligible to apply. Placements are available in universities, commercial companies, voluntary organisations and research institutions and take place over 4-6 weeks in the summer holidays.

Futurewise Courses And Events – Organise Career Taster And Experience Days for Year 12s &13s for careers in fields such as medicine, law, engineering etc.– They organise 4-day residential courses for Years 10/11/12 at universities that take students interest in engineering a step further by exploring specific areas such as Biomedical Engineering or Supercomputing in Engineering, placing them alongside real engineers, professionals and technical specialists.

EPOC Careers & Training – Year 11 & 12 Students that are interested in becoming lawyers or doctors please visit They arrange Saturday careers conferences. There is a cost involved. This is not part of a school trip/event but something to be arranged individually for interested parties.
