Learning Support Assistant (part time, 1 day a week)

Hours: 1 day a week (5.75 hours) term time only

Salary: NJC Point 2 – £18,198 FTE 

The Role

We are seeking a part time (1 day per week) enthusiastic individual to join our Learning Support Team.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to support students aged 11-19 years who may have a wide range of special educational needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties. Some experience of having worked with students at this age range would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a grade C or equivalent in both English and maths and an understanding of the importance of ‘Child Protection and Safeguarding’ when working in a school environment.

Behaviour Mentor

Hours: 37 hours p/w, 39 weeks per year

Salary: £20,092 – £21,166 FTE (£17,649 – £19,102 pro rata)

The Role

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and approachable individual to join Robert Smyth as a Behaviour Mentor.

This is a new position and responsibilities will include supporting and mentoring groups of students, undertaking activities to meet their physical or emotional special needs as well as coaching and monitoring their progress.

As an experienced person in supporting young people, you will motivate and inspire students to engage in learning.

Some experience of having worked with students at this age range would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to act with integrity and be able to relate to students of all ages, as well as their families and professionals. A grade C or equivalent in both English and maths and an understanding of the importance of ‘Child Protection and Safeguarding’ when working in a school environment are desirable.

The Role

We are seeking a part time (12.5 hours per week) enthusiastic individual to join our Learning Support Team.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to support students aged 11-19 years who may have a wide range of special educational needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will also be required to work one to one with a student assisting with personal care and toileting. Some experience of having worked with students at this age range would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a grade C or equivalent in both English and maths and an understanding of the importance of ‘Child Protection and Safeguarding’ when working in a school environment.
