Robert Smyth Academy is receiving tuition funding for 16-19 students from December 2020 to November 2021, projected to be £2948.

We have prioritised for support those students who have not achieved at least a 4 in GCSE English Language or maths. These students are receiving 1-2 or 1-1 tuition in preparation for retaking their GCSE qualifications. Revision materials and study materials will also be provided to these students. There are 2 students in this category and neither are classed as disadvantaged.

A further group of students are those who did not achieve a 5 or above in GCSE English language or maths. These will be offered the opportunity to either study for GCSE retakes or will be supported in their literacy and numeracy where this is a barrier to their current studies. There are 6 students with a grade 4 in English Language and 5 students with a grade 4 in maths, and none of these are classed as disadvantaged.
