Robert Smyth Academy is celebrating another successful year of Post-16 examination results with some superb individual outcomes. We are delighted that this year over 100 A*-A grades were attained by students and nearly 300 grades at A*-B.
The top performing students included Abigail Wright, Becki Robbins, Will Smith, Lachlan Lindsay, James Lawton, Chloe Kunz, Ben Horspool, Cameron Franklin, George Colyer and Aiden Barker. These students attained superb results whilst also exceeding their individual target grades.
The Academy is privileged to be able to celebrate the success of individual students who take the next steps of their journey to fantastic destinations. As a result of their hard work we have students who will now move forward to study at Cambridge University in economics, mathematics and medicine as well as students moving forward into vocational routes including a prestigious apprenticeship with BMW. These are just some of the prominent destinations which students will be moving onto in the future.
Principal Dan Cleary said, ‘I would like to congratulate students on their results which will have followed significant hard work. I hope that they enjoy the experience of moving forward whilst maintaining a connection with our Academy in the future. We are proud of these Sixth Form results and as our £750,000 summer refurbishment project comes to a close I would encourage parents of children in Year 5 to visit our Open Evening on Thursday 27th September at 6 pm to find out more about the benefits of the ‘all through’ experience from 11-19 years of age.
