MFY National Festival

On Saturday 8th July Soul Patrol performed at the Music for Youth National Rock, Pop & Urban Festival at the Town Hall in Birmingham. Despite having only just returned from the Denmark tour and travelled on a coach overnight 24 hours earlier, every single band member still managed to put 100% effort and energy into the performance which was outstanding in every respect.
The band performed three songs showcasing a range of styles: firstly the soul classic ‘Hard to Handle’ by Otis Redding, then an original song ‘Rhythm & Music’ by Jake Cartwright, and finally ‘Treasure’ by Bruno Mars. The band received excellent feedback from the music mentors (see photo of feedback report).
Well done to all the performers for making it through to the National Festival in the first place, as only 300 of the 1600 groups from the regional festivals get selected for the National Festival. Well done for putting on a superb performance and show on the night as the opening act in the session:
